Tampa Bay has called up infield prospect Junior Caminero, 20, according to ESPN, citing sources.
Caminero is expected to make his big league debut a day later in a home game against the Toronto Blue Jays.
Caminero is pictured at the Futures Game in July.
The right-hander could face off against Ryu Hyun-jin in the second game of the series.
A native of the Dominican Republic, Caminero hit .316 with a .383 on-base percentage and .555 slugging percentage in 223 games over three seasons in the minors.토토사이트

He played in the 2023 Futures Game and was ranked the No. 1 prospect in the game by MLB.com.
He has experience playing all infield positions in the minors. In 2023, he focused on third base and shortstop.
Currently, Tampa Bay has Yandy Diaz at first base, Brandon Lau at second base, and Taylor Walls at shortstop, with Isaac Paredes, Jonathan Aranda, Olevis Vasave, and Curtis Mead competing for the remaining spots.
Wander Franco was in the mix, but is now out of the picture after being caught dating an underage player.
Tampa Bay is 94-60 as of Aug. 22, good for second place in the American League East and the first wild-card spot.
They have clinched a postseason berth and are two games behind the first-place Baltimore Orioles.
