The Telegraph, The Athletic, The Daily Mail, The Evening Standard, and other media outlets in the U.K. reported simultaneously on the 10th (KST) that “Van der Penn, who suffered a hamstring injury, fortunately does not need surgery,” and that “it is not yet known how long the recovery period will take, but it is likely that he will be out of the lineup until at least January next year”.
Earlier, van der Penn was injured in the 11th round home match of the 2023-2024 English Premier League (EPL) season against Chelsea at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London, England, on Nov. 7.
